I love photography, especially of birds. Being outdoors, sitting motionlessly, like a ninja warrior, waiting for the right moment. A meditation, a true mindfulness, where all else vanishes from existence; only me and the bird remain.
Whether I like the result is only secondary. When other people like it, it's a bonus, but I would not change a thing even if nobody else likes it. And yet, a bonus can brighten my day. This one definitely did.
It may only be the top 100, but when I look at the other photos, I feel humbled. I keep looking at the other's photos and all I can say 'I wish I knew how to do that'.
The next voting stage is in a couple of weeks. But even if I do not go any higher, it does not matter. Now I can go and take more photos.
